InfoForum Study and Teaching
TUM Center for Study and Teaching’s info event is aimed in particular at employees active in degree program and student management and exam administration at TUM’s central service units and schools. The InfoForum provides information about the individual work areas of the TUM Center for Study and Teaching and addresses current topics from other units of TUM. The event offers both experienced and new colleagues up-to-date information about studying and teaching at TUM and the opportunity to get to know each other and exchange ideas.
The TUM CST InfoForum Study and Teaching in the summer semester 2025 will will be held at the Garching campus on 8 May.

Slot 1, session 1: TUM: Junge Akademie – Impulses. Change. Impact.
Peter Finger (TUM: Junge Akademie)
Founded in 2010, the Junge Akademie, overseen by the Senior Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs, prepares TUM talents for a successful career in science at an early stage. In addition, the funding program is a laboratory for innovative formats that are tested at our university and in society and integrated into existing structures if they have a positive impact.

Slot 1, session 2: AI between Hype and Hands-on

In this interactive session, we will look at the history of artificial intelligence and see what's behind the AI buzzwords. The focus will be on examples of practical applications of the AI tools Copilot Chat EDP and Grammarly at TUM. With the "AI Guide Academy," our guest Ben Lenk-Ostendorf from ProLehre will present an initiative to integrate AI into teaching.

Slot 2, session 1: Curricular Analysis
Carola Lücker-Amous (TUM School of Engineering and Design), Silvana Rueda Urrea (TUM School of Management)
The TUM School of Management and the TUM School of Engineering and Design will present examples of their curricular analyses. In addition to questions about the benefits of curricular analyses in the aptitude assessment process and the challenges associated with them, the focus will be on sharing experiences with colleagues.

Slot 2, session 2: Errors in the examination procedure with far-reaching consequences
Johanna Menzel (CST – Legal Affairs)
What is a procedural error, and does it necessarily lead to the annulment of an examination? In this session, we will take a look at the typical pitfalls in the examination procedure and clarify how these can be avoided. If an error does occur in the procedure, you will learn the legal consequences and how to deal with them. The legal regulations will be illustrated using examples – please bring a current version of the APSO with you.

PD Dr. Kristin Knipfer (TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning)
The TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning offers a variety of further education and exchange formats for colleagues at TUM – from career planning and the targeted strengthening of professional and personal skills to structured further qualification programs. In this session, we will present some of these offers, outline their processes, and explain how you can participate.
