Support Services for Ukrainian Students
Numerous institutions support students who have fled Ukraine in all areas of life. Here you will find an overview of various services and contact points.
In launching its own aid program, TUM relies on the solidarity of its community and asks its members, partners, and friends to contribute within their financial means. The goal is to help affected students complete their studies at TUM successfully.
University President Prof. Thomas F. Hofmann underscores: „We want these students to experience solidarity and transnational friendship and thereby do our part to ensure that they themselves can stand up for a better future without war and hatred.â€

- If you are not yet a student and are looking for support in choosing your program, please contact our Central Student Advising Team.
- If you are already a student at TUM, please contact your academic advisor in your school or department if you have any questions about your studies or exams.
- If you are already studying at another university and would like to transfer to TUM, then apply for a degree program in the regular way. We will support you with advising services and buddy programs.
- At , various German higher education institutions have set up a joint study place exchange for Ukrainian refugees.
- The Virtual University of Bavaria makes its CLASSIC vhb courses available free of charge to students from and in Ukraine. All information can be found at.

Ukrainians who are fleeing their home country because of the war can use public transport in Germany free of charge.
This applies to all local trains (S-Bahn, Regionalbahn, Regionalexpress, etc.) as well as to all subways, streetcars, light rail systems and buses. The ticket can be either a so-called "0-Euro-Ticket", such as those issued by Deutsche Bahn for long-distance travel, or a valid identification document.
There are different paths for Ukrainian junior scientists to continue or to start their doctoral research at the 91ÌÒÉ« (TUM). Depending on your individual preferences and academic background, there are different ways for us to welcome you to our university.
